Shamrock "Petzel Teets"

Due to my lack of better judgment yesterday,  I decided to make treats with Charlotte.  JK!  She is finally getting to the age in which she can actually help me and she loves to do so.  She's so proud and loves her independence.  We have been doing some potty training and when she uses the potty she gets a "piece a teet" aka "piece of treat" an m and m.  Some days she does great and some days I wish I had bought stock in paper towels and carpet cleaner. Anyways, since we already had so many m and m's I thought we'd make our friends some Shamrock Pretzel Treats .

Charlotte was in charge of unwrapping the Rolos.

Recipe/ Instructions

You'll need
Mini Pretzels
Rolos
Green M&M's
parchment paper (all optional)
bags to wrap them in
colorful ribbon
decorative crinkle cut paper

  1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees.
  2. Place three pretzels in a shamrock shape on a parchment lined baking sheet. (Again, Parchment paper is a game changer.....less mess! #winning)
  3. Place a Rolo on in the center.
  4. Repeat with remaining pretzels.
  5. Bake pretzels for 10 minutes, or until the Rolo is soft, but not completely melted.
  6. Remove pretzels from oven and immediate press green M&Ms into each Rolo
  7. Allow to cool completely before serving

We wrapped a couple up in Ziploc bags that had the tops cut off since I ran out of cellophane bags.  I bought some green crinkle cut paper and put just a little in the bag too.  I then tied them with green wrapping paper string and attached a little note from Charlotte that reads, "I'm LUCKY you're my friend".  I love doing a little something for our friends and neighbors as we love and appreciate them so much.  I hope that I'm teaching Charlotte to be giving too!
